Changing Plans

The worst thing that could possibly happen on a vacation is when you get sick. With Washington's weather changing all the time (it was rainy two days ago, sunny yesterday, and rainy today) I believe that I have caught a cold or fever. So while I am typing this I am cuddling with Bella and covered in the softest blanket ever.

Today we headed to Shoreline and visited Green Lake. We were going to walk around but it was really cold. So we took outfit photos and left to get some food in my tummy since I had missed breakfast and it was 1pm by then. We ate at this cute cafe called Jewel Box Cafe and then headed to the Woodland Zoo but when we got there it had started to rain so we decided to just go to the mall.

I've been loving Love Culture, a really cute store I found here in Washington and this top is actually from there!

Then we met up with a friend and had dinner with her. But by then I was feeling pretty crappy and needed to go home to sleep. It sucks being sick on vacation because you are limited in the time that you have there.

So overall, today was a good day but now it's time to relax, watch a movie, and sleep.

Thrift Stores

We started the day off in downtown Seattle at the Goodwill Macklemore shot his video, "Thrift Shop". We stopped by Value Village which was another thrift store he shot in.  It was pretty cool seeing the video after we went because we definitely could not tell that he shot in those stores.

Starbuck's computer system crashed so we hurried over and got a free drink!

Then we met up with our friend, Jared, and had lunch at PF Chang's. We wanted to see the ferris wheel but apparently it's closed for the next two weeks so we found this cute little shop and looked around. We found yearbooks from the 70s and read the messages people had wrote to them! We also found old postcards and photos which were pretty cool.

Hiking and Exciting News

Happy Earth Day! In honor of today we hiked Wallace Falls which is located in Gold Bar, Washington.
Before we hiked it, I got an email telling me that my letter for the March New Student application was ready for me to pick up and it was to tell me if I got into the Photography Program or not. I texted my friend immedietly and had him pick up the letter and open it. He called me and him and my other friend read the letter for me and... I GOT ACCEPTED!!!! I literally started crying from joy after. It was quite embarrassing since I was with other friends at the time.

Anyways... back to the hike. It was a three-ish mile hike with beautiful scenery the entire time and it wasn't too bad to hike to the top to see the entire valley. If you are ever in the area I would recommend hiking here!

After the hike we grabbed some tacos at a food truck called Taqueria el Rincon. All I have to say about that is DELICOUS. This is my first time at a food truck (surprise surprise) and I enjoyed it!

Sorry, no outfit today though! All I wore today was workout clothes. I will have an outfit for you tomorrow though! :)

Stalking Seattle

Today is day two of being in Washington. We headed out to a Sephora in Downtown Seattle and got a Color IQ consultation done and found the perfect shade of foundation for our skin. I've never done it before so it was so cool finding the perfect foundation for my skin tone. I usually never wear foundation so finding something that is easy and light to put on every day was exciting! Next, we stopped by Trophy Cupcakes and grabbed a few cupcakes. They had flavors like Lemon Meringue Pie, Red Velvet, PB&J, Samoa, and Salted Caramel. Every city has a famous cupcake shop and this is Seattle's.
Then we headed to Beecher's cheese shop and had the best Mac & Cheese ever! This is a must go place when visiting Seattle. Then we walked over to the infamous gum wall and I added my piece of gum to the wall. It's supposedly the second most unsanitized place in the world.

(I pretty much look the same but with clearer skin)

While at Pike Place Market we asked a worker if we could catch a fish like when Sean and Catherine from the Bachelorette did and he actually let us! Or one of us. So I did it! I was shaking and so nervous. But I caught it! It was a dream come true.

We then went to the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum and saw so many beautiful art works made out of glass. Exploring Seattle was amazing and I'm so glad I was able to do these things!

Here is what I wore today!
