Two Way Approach

Maxi skirts are so versatile and are a must-have in your closet. You can literally wear them in any season, day or night, casual or dressy. With that being said, today I will be showing you two ways to wear one outfit. The casual outfit would be perfect if you're spending the day running errands and just by switching up a few accessories, the dressed up version could easily take you to a nice dinner with the girls.

Three Ways To Style A Men's T Shirt | Part 1

Today I am going to show you how to wear a men's t shirt three different ways! I found this shirt at Cotton On for only FIVE DOLLARS + tax. What a steal!! But when wearing a men's t shirt, there are a few things to be aware of. No matter what you plan to do with your shirt, the chances are good that you will have to alter the sleeves. In two of my outfits I rolled up the sleeves to achieve a more polished look. We want to avoid a shapeless figure and instead accentuate our curves which makes our body look more flattering. To do this you can either add a belt around the waist, tuck the shirt in, or cinch in the waist with a shirt like I did. Be on a look out for part two later this week featuring three more outfits!

How I Dyed My Hair Purple

I dyed the tips of my hair purple over a month ago but I wanted to write about it in case some of you were thinking about dying your tips a different color. I've been seeing this trend a lot recently and I thought I'd share what I did to get my hair like this! PS. You WILL be damaging your hair no matter what. Just saying.

Step 1: If you have dark hair, like myself, then you would have to bleach the ends of your hair first in order for the color to show. I took a scoop of bleach and added some developer (I don't have exact measurements but continue to add developer until it has a smooth consistency).

Step 2: Apply the dye about 1.5 inches up the tips of your hair and wait for around 20 minutes. Gradually add more dye up the hair (around 1 inch every 20 minutes) so your hair would have a more ombre effect. TIP: I used a toothbrush to create a natural blend. If you are satisfied with what it looks like feel free to stop whenever you want or keep the bleach on for a longer period of time. Make sure you don't leave the bleach in your hair for too long because it will fry your hair! Next, wash out the bleach with shampoo and air dry it to avoid damaging your hair further.

Step 3: Apply a generous amount of toner and leave it on for 45 minutes (or desired time). Wash out the toner and air dry once again.

Step 4: Now for the fun part, I wanted a lavender color so I put conditioner in a bowl and mixed it with a pea size amount of the hair dye. Make sure you use as much conditioner you think you'll need in order to cover how ever much hair you will be covering (I hope that made sense). Apply the dye (make sure you have gloves on by the way) and leave it in your hair for about 20-30 minutes. Rinse with shampoo when you have your desired look and whoohoo you have purple hair now (or whatever color you want)!!

Disclaimer: Because this is a temporary hair dye, it will fade with every wash. But feel free to repeat Step 4 every time you want to add more color to your hair!

"Fall" In Love

I went up to Aspen Grove to take some photos for a friend and her roommates and this is what I wore! It was a bit chilly since it's in the mountains so I opted for a thick scarf and boots.

Texture Edition

Today I'm wearing denim, crochet, and leather all in one outfit! I love textures because it creates depth to an outfit. As you can probably tell I did two looks and all I changed was my shoes and I added a grey sweater over the crochet top. I also felt that switching up the shoes made both outfits completely different - from edgy meets girly to natural classic!
