Fur & Leather: Holiday Outfit

Is there anything more fun than dressing up to go to a holiday party with friends? While it's easy to throw on your favorite LBD or add a few sparkles, why not spice up your outfit with a fur vest and some pleather shorts? 

If you know me, I am a lover of neutral colors and I think this look is perfect for a nice christmas dinner with family or friends. I planned my outfit around this amazing fur vest (which is super soft btw) and I paired it with a simple grey speckled top and leather shorts. Because of our colder nights, I wore some black tights and finished the outfit with cute black ankle booties. For a more formal attire, I would wear this outfit with black wedges.

Acid on Acid

I did my first fashion shoot for Madison and Sixth the other day and it was so much fun! I was able to not only take the photos but I got to style some of the outfits! We started at the Provo mall around 10:30 AM and got to styling around 24 outfits with the models (who are also bloggers!). Around noon, we had to transport all the clothes (which was a lot) to the van and shot around downtown Provo for about an hour and a half. The models made my job easier because they knew what to do and it made the process go quick and we were able to finish by 2pm. I ended up taking over 1,300 photos! But it was so worth it. I seriously enjoy what I do.

But onto my outfit, that day was pretty casual and I experimented with some acid on acid (kinda like denim on denim but with a twist). I wore this adorable acid wash denim vest over a men's tee shirt that I got from Cotton On for only 5$! I've been looking for a denim vest for a long time but none of them really fit me well but when I put this vest on it was like love at first feel!

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I am so excited! This year I wasn't able to go home but I get to see some old family friends that I haven't seen in a while. Thanksgiving is a time for us to be thankful for all the things we have. Of course we should show thanks year-round and not only on this special day because there is always something to be grateful for. 

Here are two looks that I think would be perfect for a Thanksgiving dinner. I usually wear tights with skirts and dresses but this year in replacement of tights, I've decided to go for knee length socks to add a little something to my outfit. Here are two looks that I thought of with knee socks and black ankle boots. (Read till the end because I have something to brighten your day(; )

Casual Friday

It snowed the other day which is a sign that winter is finally here. 

To be honest I hate the cold unless I'm inside watching Netflix, drinking hot chocolate and snuggling on the couch. I actually wore this outfit a few weeks ago which explains why I'm not wearing a huge winter coat with this outfit. Maybe people from warmer states will find this outfit useful... because I know I won't be wearing this outfit for another 2 months (I'll be going home to california for christmas break yay!). The only good thing about this cold is that it gives me an excuse to shop for winter clothes. Although I always just end up wearing the same two sweater every day.... Do you guys like the cold? If you do, what's your favorite part about winter?

Happy Monday guys!

I love having my collars peek out of sweaters and blouses. It gives the look a preppy feel to it and layering tops also add dimension to the entire look. I wore simple black leggings and black booties because I wanted to keep the focus on the polka-dot top. If you are looking for some cute ankle boots I would definitely recommend Charlotte Russe or Forever 21. I was recently on Forever 21's website and they have some really adorable boots! I know a lot of people hate it when girls wear leggings as pants but they are SO comfortable! Here is a quick tip for when you want to wear leggings as pants: wear a top long enough to cover your crotch and buttocks area.
